Today, after my school bus dropped me off at school, I walked onto the busy schoolyard. I’m in the fifth grade, so my class line is by the back gate. As I approach the class, I see my friends talking.
Only a few minutes later, the school bell rings at 8:00, but the late bell rings at 8:05. So, if I don’t want to get benched for recess, I line up, stop talking, and listen to the activities going on for the day by the Title I Coordinator, Mr.Webb.
In class, I went to my seat and started to silent read, as everyone else. My class is divided into 2 types of different books; 39 Clues and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. I’m in the 39 clues book. There are 10 different books in the series, and I read book 8. It’s really interesting, but I haven’t finished the book yet.At about 9:30, we discussed the essay we were supposed to start on, but I accidentally did it all on purpose: ).
Since it’s the last week of school before our Winter Break, we have parent conferences. Because of parent conferences, we get out of school at 12:55 p.m.
In spite of that, we don’t have recess or lunch recess.
Today’s lunch was awesome! They served pizza and chicken nuggets with bread. It was delicious.
After our lunch supervisor, Ms.Francine, dismissed us, we walked back to class and watched a Christmas in The White House starring Oprah Winfrey, the President of the United States, and The First Lady.Today was awesome, hopefully tomorrow will be too!
