We need to hear from you!
We need your voice! The School Experience Survey (SES) window is open now through February 11. The SES a tool that asks students, parents, and school staff about the opportunities they have to learn and be leaders at their schools, how welcoming and collaborative they view their school environment, the safety of the campus, and the level of parent engagement. The SES will also now be part of our school’s accountability score. Previously schools were scored on the Academic Performance Index or API, solely based on standardized test scores. Now, schools will be scored on the School Quality Improvement Index, which includes not only standardized test scores but also school climate measures, notably, the SES survey results. In short, responses from this survey will be part of our school’s publicized accountability score; we need your voice! Paper copies will go home tomorrow; links to online surveys can be found here:http://achieve.lausd.net/Page/8397 Once your survey has been completed, please print hard copy or take a picture electronically to document completion and return to your child’s classroom teacher. We are striving for 100% completion for each class. The classrooms with 100% participation will win big, so let’s get these in!
